Covid-19

Policies & Safety Measures

Below is a full breakdown of new measures that have been implemented to ensure a safe return.

Please read thoroughly before booking your appointment.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Emma here.

New Measures

Increased cleaning

The therapy room will be cleaned thoroughly with disinfectant before and after every treatment. Your belongings will be stored in a closed, sterilised box throughout the treatment - please therefore only bring essential items with you. Hand sanitiser will be available in the therapy room and at the shop entrance. Emma completed Covid-19 hygiene training with Barbicide during lockdown to ensure hygiene practices are up to date.

Increased ventilation

To assist proper ventilation an extractor fan and wall-mounted fan will be operating during your treatment. The therapy room will be aired out for 30 minutes during the changeover period. Doors will be left open when nobody is being treated.

PPE

Emma will be wearing the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as advised by her governing body. This includes: a face mask, worn in clinic and throughout the treatment; an apron, worn to cover clothes and changed after each treatment; no jewellery, no clothes beneath elbows and hair tied back; no outdoor clothes will be worn in the treatment room. In compliance with government guidelines clients will be required to wear a face covering in clinic and during the treatment. Emma is also taking a lateral flow coronavirus test twice weekly ahead of her clinic days.

Contactless payment

We will not be accepting cash as payment at this time. You can pay by card in the clinic or ideally directly to Emma via bank transfer.

Changes to consultation procedures

Emma will conduct a remote consultation with you the evening prior to your treatment. An additional Covid-19 symptoms checklist will be conducted for each appointment, initial and recurring.

Appointment procedures

To allow for the additional cleaning and ventilation measures we will be implementing extended breaks between appointment times. Appointment times will be staggered between other therapists in the building to minimise contact with other people. At the moment we are unable to accommodate walk-in bookings so please text or email Emma ahead of time if you wish to make an appointment. If you can no longer attend your appointment please let Emma know with as much notice as possible. If you are a key worker you will be required to change out of work clothes and shower before attending an appointment.

Clinic facilities

Emma will collect you for your appointment at the building entrance. Please arrive exactly on time for your appointment as there is currently no waiting area in the clinic. Water will not be provided on premises so make sure to bring your own water bottle, which you should fill yourself at home. Hand sanitiser will be provided. Toilet facilities will be cleaned immediately after each use.

important information

If you or any member of your household develops symptoms of Covid-19 please do not attend your appointment. The standard cancellation fee will be waived in these instances.

If you develop symptoms of Covid-19 following your appointment please alert the clinic and your therapist at your earliest convenience so proper contact tracing measures can begin.

For close contact services, there is a requirement to retain client’s details for four weeks with a view to sharing client contact information with government Test and Protect Teams if required. We will only share your personal details in this event.
